Disabled Golfers Charity Golf Day 2009

Southport.gb.com today sponsored the Southport Disabled Golfers Charity Golf Day 2009 held at the Park Golf Club Southport.

This competition is now in its 17th year and successfully draws able and less-able bodied competitors from all over the country.

The recent improvements to the golf course, as part of Sefton Council's investment strategy provided the perfect stage for yet another successful day of golf.

The competition was an 18-hole Stableford of full handicap with one disabled and three able-bodied players per team. Scoring consisted of one disabled score and the best two able-bodied scores for a team prize.
