In
the old days green limestone chippings would be used to provide
protection. This was followed by white limestone chippings to
reflect the suns heat. These were not ideal as they would often end
up blown into gutters and drains, and anyone walking on the roof, such as
a window cleaner or decorator, could forcefully push the stones through
the felt.
Nowadays,
we use special Solar Reflective paint that does the same job but a lot
more effectively.
Don't
leave it too late - You may find that your flat roof warranty is void if
it has not been maintained properly. |
