An
old roof. It could be leaking, felt may have split over the years
which may cause the roof boards and joists to rot. |

Our
first job is to totally remove the old felt for damage to underlying roof
boards. |

The
whole surface has to made dust free, dry, before laying any hot tar can be
used. |
 |
|
The
hot tar is used to stick the felt onto the roof. Great care has to
be taken with edges where green mineral felt drips are used. |

All
joins are made secure with hot tar |
 |
|
Finally,
the whole roof is painted with solar reflective aluminum paint to provide
protection for the completed work. |
